nelle
I hope everyone had a great weekend! I'm looking forward to a busy week of designing, gardening, and traveling. To start off, I thought I'd share these adorable purses I found over at Nelle. These would be the perfect gift for a very lucky group of bridesmaids!

tying the knot sampler
{each photo links to its shop}
tie the knot, an old phrase. my dear friend from college is visiting this week, so forgive the post delay. he is the most marvelous lovely man, has been in a loving and committed relationship for many years, and one day i hope to be there when he ties the knot as well.

a delicate balance
These are very Louis XIV meets Tinkerbell, Gilded meets Woodland, Glamorous meets Earthy... Not an easy combo to pull off, but one that I very much enjoy. Check Into the Looking Glass for more!

fine feathery finds
I hope everyone had a great long weekend. I did yard work, planted flowers, hung curtains, and cleaned house. Sounds boring, I know, but there's something to be said for chores. You feel great when they're done!
These are my new favorites from Portobello, one of my favorite hair accessory shops on Etsy. I have a few weddings to go to in June, and since my choices for wardrobe are kind of limited, I've been looking for something interesting for my hair. While I think these might be too fancy for me (as a guest), they'd be perfect for any bride looking to add a little color into her ensemble.

happy second anniversary, etsy wedding!
{ happy anniversary card by jeanfrancisbean }
crazy. two years!
this year i found love, moved in, faced surgery, lemonade and loss, and my sister made this amazing little thing i seriously can't get enough of. my life is radically different from this time last year, in ways large and small, and i'm so thankful to you all for coming along on the way -- i am full of hope for the summer and year to come.
if you like a little more misty nostalgia, here's my first anniversary and the beginning of it all. if i'd only known what i was getting myself into.

woven wonders
Brittany emailed me today to give me the heads up on this gorgeous crocheted jewelry from Israeli designer Galit Barak. The way the wires are woven together to cradle beautiful stones is amazing, although I can't for the life of me figure out how she does it. Galit is offering free international shipping all this weekend if you purchase more than one of her gorgeous pieces. Yes please!

itali lambertini
This amazing jewelry reminds me of a trip thru the Roman Antiquities wing at the Met (one of my absolute favorite wings, but the way). I love the rings especially, and think they'd be just perfect for an engagement ring. "Timeless" would be the perfect adjective, don't you think? Itali Lambertini will also create custom rings, if you're looking for some other type of stone.

{each photo links to its shop}
was inspired last week by a couple of wedding-related etsy finds emails, including this etsy bridesmaid finds post from the storque with four different bridesmaid "looks"-- so here are a few ideas to add to the pool...
almost finished with the magazine, on press tomorrow, and then i'm singing (long story) at a fundraiser thurs. night... so thank you again for your patience. am trying to catch up with my backlog of email and posts, so if you've written in the past two weeks, hang tight!
