Fancy affair or garden picnic? Either way, there's ruffles coming and going! Both from BCBG, both pretty reasonably priced. No one likes a shocking price tag on a Monday, especially me.

Spring has sprung here in New England and I'm itching to get into something cute! If only my wallet were looking a little better I would start with that adorable royal blue number from Anthropologie (it has bicycles on it!). I have a waist again! I could wear that! Yay!

In keeping with yesterday's dessert theme, I spotted these adorable cookie cutters yesterday over on Ohdeedoh. I thought they could work beautifully for cookie favors i.e. "Ann and Bill 1.29.10". OR! place cards/seating cards that double as favors! I realize this would involve resetting the type for each cookie then stamping a different name on each, but wouldn't that be cool? No doubt it would be kind of tedious for a large wedding (I wouldn't recommend it if you were expecting say... 400 people) but it wouldn't be expensive, and in my opinion, the best seating cards are edible seating cards! good news! it's still summer.

Just a few of my favorite summer dresses over at Antrhopologie. I WAS going to post about some adorable J.Crew pumps today, but J. Crew has just released their FALL clothes, and after scrolling around on their site looking at cable knit, turtlenecks and overcoats, I'm sad. So, I will save the pumps for another day in favor of very flowy, summery things with no sleeves - so as not to pass on the sadness that comes with sweater sets in July.

flow-y and romantic

Maybe it's because this would actually fit me (33 weeks preggo and growing fast!), maybe it's because it's just dreamy, but I love this little dress. In white, it would be an adorable option to change into for dancing and late night fun! From Couvert.

In these tricksy economic times I know lots of brides are looking for more casual, inexpensive frocks for backyard receptions. These are a few of my favorites, both from Nordstrom's. The one on the left is Anna Sui, and if you have skin as amazing as that model, I recommend you wear this dairy cream color all the time. The second dress, by Lily, won my heart with it's easy, airy style and gorgeous texture. Both would be perfect for a beautiful summer wedding under the stars!

garden party!

The prim-properness of these dresses in their happy spring colors is making me jones for a nice garden party to go to. Perhaps I could wear the dress on the left? I know that my bump would be too big for the one on the right, but the one on the left...? (*rubs chin, seriously considers purchase*) I think I could do it! You wear the one on the right... I'll wear the one on the left. See you at the artichoke dip!

vera wang deals

We're having crappy weather here today, wind, rain, cold... typical New England. I have to confess, I secretly love it. I love the coziness of it all. My favorite thing to do is camp out on the couch with the dog and a blanket and surf. I find the best stuff when the weather is bad!
These are all Vera Wang, and they're all at least 40% off over at Bluefly. The gray one is my favorite, (I think I'd carry a yellow purse). The yellow and the gray together would be adorable on a small bridal party.

Maybe it's because I've been working a lot on the graphic elements for Kenzie Kate's 2009 collection, but I'm a little obsessed with these graphic dresses from Anthropologie. I LOVE the sweater dress with the swans on it. Please, someone snag that and wear it to your rehearsal, your bridal shower, your wedding brunch, it's too perfect.

monday morning cheer

There's nothing like a party dress to cheer up a Monday morning! I love the idea of a swishy, muted floral print on the 'maids at a garden wedding. These dresses from BCBG fit the bill perfectly, available at Nordstrom's.

Sitting directly in front of the fan in my 120 degree livingroom, I feel as thought I will never be able to wear pants again. It's too hot. I will have to wear dresses for the rest of all time. I will start with this one by Foley + Corrina.

I linked to KEP thru one of my favorite new reads, Fly. Love the beads! I feel like I need a crisp, belted shirt-dress and a pair of big shades to really rock these to the fullest. Perhaps maybe a sheath with a big pattern? Perhaps a shopping trip is in order?

patterns galore!

I have a "thing" for patterns. If truth be told, I would be-deck myself in several different patterns day and night, top to bottom were it not socially unacceptable. While wearing several at once can be... tricky, wearing one really great one is totally fine, not to mention highly recommended. I stumbled on these dresses from Milly over at Revolve Clothing and thought they might satisfy any pattern cravings you might have. Bridal Shower? Bachelorette? Rehearsal Dinner? Sure!
